Breakdown and details

What spending is made of, and the list of transactions behind each figure.

The Composition block, at the bottom of the Analytics screen, breaks down the spending of the chosen period. It follows the same filters and scope as the chart above it.

By category or by budget

A switch toggles between Categories and Budgets. The same choice drives the chart's Expense breakdown, when it is on: the bar and the list never disagree.

Each row shows:

  • the amount for the category or budget;
  • its change as a percentage against the comparison period, restated at the bottom of the list ("vs" followed by the dates);
  • its share of income, for example "12% of income", or otherwise its share of spending.

Expenses without a category are grouped under Uncategorized. The first three rows show first; See all expands the rest, Show less folds it back.

When a bar of the chart is selected, the composition covers that bar alone. Tapping elsewhere on the screen brings it back to the whole period.

Negative amounts stay in the list with their sign: "Negative amounts remain displayed with their sign."

Opening the expense details

Tapping a composition row opens the list of the expenses it groups, over the same period and scope. The list restates the total, for example "12 expenses · €340".

  • Tapping an expense opens it for editing.
  • From a budget, Open the budget leads to its page.

The Expenses and Income entries of the chart legend open the same list for all expenses, or the Personal income list.

The income details

The Personal income list restates the total, for example "3 income entries · €2,400", and marks recurring income. It is read-only. It only exists in the Personal scope: income is not shared.

Amounts hidden with the eye icon stay hidden in these lists.
