Delete your account
What goes, what is anonymised, and why.
Settings → Account → Delete account, in the danger zone.
Permanent and irreversible. There is no bin and no recovery window.
The flow
A reason is asked before confirming — too expensive, no longer using it, technical issues, found an alternative, privacy concerns, other. A free-text field lets you say more.
The confirmation is explicit: it is not a button you press by accident.
Anonymisation, not full erasure
Why your shared data stays
Shared data is anonymised, not erased, so as not to break the other participants' budgets. An expense you recorded in a common budget keeps existing for them — otherwise their balances would turn wrong.
You disappear from their screens, their maths stays correct.
Before deleting
If you share budgets:
- settle outstanding balances, or at least warn the people involved
- transfer or close the budgets you own
Signing out is not deleting
Signing out releases the device and stops its notifications. The account and the data stay intact.
