The Activity screen

Expenses and incomes in one place, over the same period.

The Activity tab in the navigation bar gathers what moved: expenses on one side, incomes on the other. It replaces the former Expenses and Incomes screens.

Switching between expenses and incomes

An Expenses / Incomes switch at the top of the list changes side. The period, the scale and the search stay the same: switching to incomes shows the same date range.

Choosing the period

  • Week, Month or Year set the scale. Month and year follow the budget cycle, not the calendar
  • the Previous period and Next period arrows step back or forward
  • the bars under the main amount compare recent periods; tapping one opens that period

Changing the scale returns to the current period.

Expenses side

At the top, three amounts for the period:

  • Spent now
  • upcoming — repetitions of recurring expenses still to come
  • forecast — the sum of both

Upcoming expenses open the list, under "Upcoming expenses": the nearest one stays visible, the others unfold with a tap. The past follows, grouped by day. Each row shows its budget and its payer.

At the top of the screen, three buttons: search, Add expense and Import expenses (see Import expenses).

Tapping an expense opens it for editing. Swiping the row to the left offers edit and delete.

Incomes side

At the top, Total income for the period. The list follows the scale: grouped by day for a week or a month, by budget month for a year. See Track your income.

At the top of the screen, two buttons: search and Add income.

Searching

The search button unfolds the field. Search covers the period on screen:

  • on the Expenses side, the description, the budget or the payer
  • on the Incomes side, the name, the amount or the date in YYYY-MM-DD format

Closing the search clears it, so no filter stays active out of sight. With no match, the screen says "No results" and offers Clear search.

An empty period

  • with no budget at all, the screen says "Budget required" and offers Add budget
  • on a period with no activity, it says "Nothing for {period}"; away from the current period, Back to current period returns to it
